Krav Maga Great Lakes Instructor Program - Learn from the best.
All Instructor Courses taught by Mike Berean - 3rd Degree Black Belt Instructor, USMC, Law Enforcement Certified Instructor.
Description: Become a certified Krav Maga Instructor with Krav Maga Great Lakes. Teach at our facility or yours. Each belt level has a required time frame, number of classes, virtual classes, and once a month required 8 hr training day. Each level segment finishes with a 4-day test.
Prerequisite: None for Yellow Belt/Level 1 certification. All other levels must have previous Belt/level certification to start training. Each Belt/Level has required training time and hours. These must be met before testing will be allowed.
Grading: You must meet minimum requirements for hours and time in grade. You must pass with an average of 85% or higher at testing. You must be able to perform the technique at the Instructor level, explain its teaching points, follow the teaching template, and be able to show the transfer of knowledge.
You will be graded on live teaching during training and testing. Ability to adapt techniques based on principles of Krav Maga. Performance of techniques under stress. Understanding of techniques and applications by live interview.

Black Belt has 2- 3-day prep courses, 1- 3-day test (test by invitation only, if additional prep courses are needed to qualify for test $350 ea)
Teach and learn: at KMGL location. Is a $199 monthly Annual Membership. You must attend all training and apprentice teach at least 2 classes per week to qualify. Once certified, you will owe 2 classes a week for one year at level pay rate to fulfill the obligation.
Once certified, you can teach classes at our facility to earn toward your next certification.
If a candidate drops out of the program before finishing, there are no refunds. If financed Buyout of the contract is 50% of the remaining balance.
The weekly classes can be done in person or via zoom if the distance is an issue. Must have approval prior to starting the program. All 8 hr Saturday training is mandatory attendance in person.
